The expectations are high. “Intenza Emozione”, abbr. IE, is the name of the new Hypercar from Apollo Automobil, which was presented in Italy at the end of October. Only ten units of this exclusive racing car (no street permission) will be built, the base price is 2.3 million euros – a special driving training is included.
The car, according to the manufacturer, is “Fuel for the senses” and has a lot to offer for enthusiats: chassis and attachments are made of carbon-fibre, so the car has a lightweight of 1,250 kg. Neither Turbo nor hybrid systems, the IE is powered with a naturally aspirated6.3-liter V12 engine, 760 nM and 780 hp of torque. The IE accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 2.7 seconds, the top speed is 335 km / h.
The power and torque of the Apollo IE is transmitted through a longitudinal Hewland sequential 6-speed+Rev gearbox with fully interchangeable gear ratios. At 300km/h the IE produces over 1,350kg of net downforce. The vehicle is equipped with Michelin racing slicks as standard. The suspension comes from Bilstein, the carbon ceramic brake discs from Brembo. With words you can hardly describe the “Intenza Emozione”, it’s best to watch the video and enjoy the sound of the engine…
Apollo Automobil is the successor to the Gumpert sports car manufacturer, which had to file for bankruptcy in 2014. The company is now owned by the Hong Kong-Chinese consortium Ideal Team Ventures Limited, which includes De Tomaso. Formerly settled in Altenburg, the Apollo automobile now has its headquarter in Denkendorf (Bavaria).
