Nice cars and movies – it somehow belong together. Under the motto “Red carpet” the Ferrari Museum in Modena has opened its new exhibition.
The birthday of the company founder Enzo Ferrari’s (20.2.1898) is commemorated with this exhibition. Movies and series in which the Ferrari of Modena played a role are never forgotten. For example, the 308 GTS in “Magnum” (Tom Selleck) or of the Testarossa in the legendary series “Miami Vice” with James Sony Crockett and Ricardo Tubbs. The Ferrari 512 S is also issued, be seen in the film “Le Mans” with the German driver Erich Stahler (Siegfried Rauch) against the Porsche 917 with Michael Delany (Steve McQueen). Another treat for the eye: the Ferrari 375 America, which Sophia Loren drove as Phaedra in the 1975 movie “Boy on a dolphin”.
Some legends drove the sportive icons from Modena as a all days car: Paul Newman the 365 GTB4 at the 24 hours of Daytona, Marylin Monroe her snow-white 250 GT Pininfarina convertible, Nicolas Cage, Peter Sellers and many more.
