Geneva Motor Show

At the beginning of March, the 88th Motor Show took place in Geneva. Here, the automotive industry shows how they envision the future of their brand and present latest models and concept vehicles. We picked out some of the interesting hyper and super sports cars shown at this year’s Motor Show and introduce them to you.
A special show was also devoted to the past of the Geneva Motor Show. Under the motto “Le Retour du Futur” (The Return of the Future), eleven exemplary models from the history of the Motor Show were presented. Among them are real automobile rarities, such as the Lamborghini Marzal, shown in 1968, the Bizzarini Manta, the Lancia Stibilo by Bertone, but also small cars.

Corbellati Missile
He is to offer hyper cars such as the Bugatti Chiron Paroli. With its incredible 1800 hp, the Corbellati Missile should not find it difficult that its top speed should officially be 500 km / h. This crazy power-to-weight ratio comes from a nine-liter V8 turbo engine. This Hyperflitzer completely renounces any electrification.

Zenvo TSR-S
The super sports car from Denmark starts with 1193 hp. He draws his power from a 5.8 liter V8 twin-turbo engine and easily reaches the top speed of over 300 km / h. in 2.9 seconds he accelerates from a standstill to 100 km / h. This is ensured by a sophisticated aerodynamics and a huge rear spoiler.

It’s not an Aston Martin, but its similarity to the legendary DB4 is striking. But his genes are more likely to come from the Jaguar XK and its V8 supercharged engine, because the David Brown is built on the chassis of the Jaguar XK.

Ferrari 488 Pista
With its 730 horsepower from its Ferrari V8 engine, the Ferrari 488 Pista is the brand’s most powerful road-going Hypercar ever built in the history of the Italian automaker.

This single-seater hyper sports car Ren produces with four electric motors a total output of about 1300 hp. According to the manufacturer, a range extender allows a total of 2000 kilometers and a top speed of around 300 km / h. To get in and out, the glass pulpit moves up over the driver’s seat.

Also from the Middle Kingdom comes the 1006 hp strong Lvchi Sport Coupé. Again, it was a pure electric vehicle with a maximum range of about 650 kilometers.

Italdesign – Zerouno Duerta
Italdesign presented in Geneva on the Audi R8 (or Lamborghini Huracan) constructed hypersport Zerouno Duerta. The 5.2-liter V10 turbo engine delivers a whopping 610 horsepower and takes the Roadster from 0 to 100 km / h in just 3.2 seconds. The top speed is around 320 km / h. Cost is the hypersport just over 2 million.

Already in 2010 Michael Stoschek presented the idea to revive the sports car legend Lancia Stratos in the New Stratos. At that time in cooperation with Pininfarina and on the basis of the Ferrari 430 Scuderia. But Ferrari vetoed and did not allow micro-production on that basis. At the Geneva Motor Show this year, the latest development of this New Stratos was presented at the Manifattura Automobili Torino.
