Amelia Island 2016 – Bonhams auction results

Numerous auctions of exclusive automobiles were held during the Amelia Island Concours D´Elegance . The first auction was from Bonhams on the grounds of the Fernandina Beach Golf Club with total sales of $ 27.5 million. The top seller of this auction was the 1937 Bugatti 57SC sports tourer by Vanden Plas. The bids for this pre-war coaches started at 6 million and quickly rose to 8 million. An American private citizen eventually got the nod for the princely sum of $9,735 million. This is the most expensive ever sold Type 57, which was sold during an auction and the most expensive pre-war vehicle that was ever sold during the Amelia Island events.
