Dingman Collection under the Hammer

RM Auctions announces the inclusion of the Dingman Collection 2018 in its auction calendar, the completion of RM’s two highly successful Dingman auctions in 2006 and 2012. Ford Motor Company Director Michael Dingman, a longtime director, had a passion for the iconic Ford Flathead V -8 models and for the most exquisite original neon signs and other nostalgia that represent the great American century.

The auction will feature around 25 exceptional Ford V-8 models and over 700 Automobilia, including Emaile signs, Ford Motor cutting models, literature and original spare parts. The vehicles are all superbly restored and a few even have a rare Woodie birdseye maple finish. Michael Dingman has always valued a perfect restoration, and his vehicles should be in a state that they used to be in the dealership’s shop window. He was certainly the most important Ford vintage collector of the last century.

Also part of the auction is the 1950’s American Diner, which has been restored by Dingman on his property. The diner stood neglected for years in a forest. It is the Pole Tavern Diner at the U.S. Highway 40 in New Jersey, which has been rebuilt to the last detail. Based on historical photos and pictures, the diner has been lovingly restored to its original state, up to the accessories, the kitchen equipment and the furniture. RM Auctions will take over the entire dismantling and reconstruction of this diner for the bidder. Who wants to buy the diner, must invest at least $ 300,000 to $ 400,000. Even a particularly elaborately decorated bar, which was built in the showroom of the collection, comes to auction.

The auction will take place from 23 June to 24 June in New Hampshire. The catalog for the auction can be viewed here in advance.
