Bernina Gran Tourismo

The Bernina Pass is one of the most beautiful passes in Europe. It lies between the Bernina and Livigno Alps in the Swiss canton of Graubünden. He moves to a height of 2235 meters above sea level. The mountain race Bernina Gran Tourismo took place for the third time this year. 65 teams from five countries, including participants from the United States and Iran, chased the more than 50 bends of the Bernina Pass with their racing cars. The historic hill climb is a real challenge.

The magnificent race track is 5.7 km long, led – following the historical direction – from La Rösa (1,871 m) up to the pass (2,320 m) and not only offered t the start and destination, but also on the road, numerous opportunities to observe the racing cars in action. The times of the track closure were on Saturday and Sunday respectively
from 07:40 to 11:20, and on Saturday afternoon from 13:20 to 17:00. Per Block two runs were completed.

A special highlight is the new cooperation with the Rhaetian Railway, which took place on the BGT weekend between St. Moritz / Pontresina and Bernina Hospizio two had used historical trains. The special thing is that anyone could easily start this journey through time with the purchase of a regular ticket.
