Around 10,000 visitors respond to the invitation to attend the Warm-up event for MOTORWORLD München. MOTORWORLD München has finally arrived at its final destination: the listed railway repair shop in the Freimann district of Munich. On Saturday, 18 June 2016, around 10,000 visitors didn’t miss the chance to attend the first Warm-up event and official starting signal for the construction work. True to style, many of them rolled up in their own motoring treasures, quickly filling the outside area and adjacent halls with more than 2,100 vehicles – among them classic cars, modern classics, super cars, motorcycles, and rarities. A magnificent get-together of motoring fascination of every description, and at the same time a successful starting signal with a great deal of positive feedback from the visitors. This underlines the fact that Munich is ready for this new, extremely vibrant mobility centre and event ensemble.
MOTORWORLD München is scheduled to open at the end of 2017. By then, the 24,000-square-metre former locomotive hall and surrounding grounds will have been renovated and expanded to make room for this forum for top-quality driving culture. The concept behind MOTORWORLD München: Exclusive vehicle traders for classic cars through to top-of-the-range vehicles and bikes, a comprehensive spectrum of automotive service providers and specialised workshops, glass boxes for accommodating enthusiasts’ vehicles, together with many premium-quality accessory shops and galleries. Also part of the concept are a theme hotel, diverse restaurants, together with small to large-sized conference and event rooms, including the former coal bunker, boiler house and Zenith Hall. As with the Warm-up event, admission to MOTORWORLD München will be always free of charge for everyone.
