Beaulieu Simply Bikes

Noise boomed through the New Forest on July 10, because around 660 motorcycles made the way to the motorcycle meeting Simply Bikes in Beaulieu. For the second time, bikes and Trikes gathered together. BMW R1200RT next to the Honda Goldwing, Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R next to a Triumph Tiger or a sky team V-Raptor 250 next to a Ducati. Sporting high-performance bikes accounted the largest part of the meeting. But also the fans of historic motorcycles could experience some real uniques, even if some of these bikes looked realy small and fragile in comparison to the modern superbikes. Among the issued two-wheeled vehicles were genuine treasures, such as the James from 1947, a very original Benelli 750 Sei a BSA Bantham major, Matchless, Vincent HRD, or the Honda 250N ‘Super Dream’ from the ‘ 70s. The arrival of the Trikes drew special attention, because there were real rarities. Between the Harley-Davidson and Star-powered Trikes, were also models with Reliant and Volkswagen engines. However, a special eye-catcher was the trike, which is equipped with a Jaguar V12 engine.
Visitors could choose their own personal favorite from the exhibited motorcycles. This prize was awarded to the Triumph Rocket III by Steve Jackson. He is in possession of this machine for six years.
Simply Bikes is part of Beaulieu’s packed schedule of Simply rallies, which includes Simply Japanese on July 31st, Simply Land Rover on August 7th and Simply Smart on November 13th.
