Art project – Range Rover crosses paper bridge

Range Rover prensented a link between automobile and art, by crossing with a luxury SUV over an art work. The British artist Steve Messam had created a unique paper bridge in cooperation with the British paper manufacturer James Cropper PLC. The occasion for this event was the presentation of the Range Rover at the Guangzhou Motor Show and the indication that Range Rover has been leading in innovations for now 45 years.
The detached five-meter long and 3.4 meter high paper bridge was in Suzhou, China.
No glue was used. Spezialists worked for three full days to build the bridge in Suzhou, which is also called the „Venice of the East“.
In 1970 Range Rover presented the first luxury SUV, passed the infamous Darien Gap ( a treacherous section of the Panamericana) two years later, was first to be fitted as 4×4 with ABS anti blocking brakes in 1989 and presented the electronic traction control and air suspension in 1992.
