Who designed What – Porsche Tapiro

The wedge-shaped design of the Porsche Tapiro Prototype not only acts fast, but can certainly proof itself in real competition. The Porsche designer Giorgetto Giugiaro design study is based on a Porsche 916, powered by a 2.4 litre engine with approx. 223 HP at 7200 RPM. Outstanding is not only his performance, but also the double doors of passenger compartment and the booth over the engine compartment. The Tapiro was the star at the Turin Motor Show in 1970. Two years later the vehicle was bought by a spanish businessman. In the 90s, the vehicle was fire bombed during unrests in Spain and burned out completely. Italdesign purchased the remains back in the late of 90s and completely rebuilt the Porsche Tapira, to exhibit him in the Giugiaro Museum.
